
Notice to Consumers served by
North East Regional Water Supply Scheme
Roscommon County Council wishes to advise consumers in the areas served by the above mentioned Water Supply Schemes that, as a precautionary measure, it is advisable to boil water before use until further notice.
Areas affected on the North East Water Scheme include - Termonbarry, Rooskey, Elphin, Strokestown, Ballagh Ballybeg and surrounding areas.
Boiled water should be used:
· For Drinking
· For Ice Making (discard ice cubes in fridge, freezers)
- For the washing of foods that will not be subsequently cooked
· In connection with any other item that comes in contact with food and
· For teeth washing
Water can be used for bathing and flushing toilets.
Group Water schemes supplied by the schemes are also affected including:
Ballagh Ballybeg, Slatta, Knockhall, Vesnoy, Greywood, Doon, Cloonroughan, Ardkillian, Cloonshrean/Mountbrown, Ballytoohey, Kilbarry
