Notice to consumers on the Castlerea Regional scheme

Roscommon County Council wishes to advise consumers on the Castlerea REGIONAL water supply scheme that due to a mechanical failure, as a precautionary measure, it is advisable to boil water before use until further notice.

Cooled boiled water should be used:

For Drinking;

For Ice Making (discard ice cubes);

For the washing of foods that will not be subsequently cooked;

In connection with any other item that comes into contact with food and

For teeth washing.

The water supply can continue to be used for bathing and for flushing toilets.

Roscommon County Council regrets the inconvenience caused to consumers.
